Cameroon - SEforALL Action Agenda and Investment Prospectus

Objectives:
Cameroon joined the SEforALL Initiative and committed to advance towards the achievements of its three global objectives and has developed the Rapid Assessment - Gap Analysis.
To strengthen the implementation of the SEforALL Initiative in the country, the Government requested AfDB to provide:
1. Technical support to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources to develop a SEforALL Action Agenda, through a wide participatory process.
2. Technical support to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources to develop SEforALL Investment Prospectus, including Identification and mapping out potential opportunities for support from bilateral, multilateral or private financiers.
3. Support to the Government stakeholders with the analytical underpinnings of the Action Agenda and Investment Prospectus.
Stakeholders gathered for a Kick-off Workshop of the national SEforALL country action process from April 28-29, 2016 in Yaounde. This event marked the launch of the development of the SEforALL Action Agenda and Investment Prospectus. This process is expected to be finalized by mid-2016.
The SEforALL implementation is followed by a focal point in the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy.
Results: Technical Assistance is ongoing and it is foreseen to be completed in Q3 2016
