Component 1 – Knowledge Creation and Dissemination: Research institutes, universities, national climate technology centres, national designated entities, and other relevant institutions are eligible following the modalities indicated in each call for proposals. Component 3 – Program and Project Support: Both public and private sector entities are eligible and are evaluated on the basis of: a) the availability of an initial assessment indicating the technical, economic, commercial/financial, environmental and social soundness of the proposed investment project; b) confirmation that the investment is a government priority; and c) potential impact on climate change and technology transfer. The Technical Assistance for Programs and Projects is delivered through external consultancy firms or individuals selected following the AfDB procedures.
